Greeting
















Greeting is a short sentence used when we meet someone.
            

Look the conversation :
Ø  Raka    : Hi,Ratih…..How are you?
Ø  Ratih    : Hi,Raka……I am fine.

The conversation above are the example of greeting used in daily activity.Here are some sentences to greet someone:

            Beside greeting,there are some sentences used when we want to close the conversation and when we want to leave someone.They are Leave Taking.Here are some sentences.

Announcement,Message,Personal Letter

1.Announcement


     Announcement is something said , written, or printed to make known what was happened or (more often) what will happen

Structure of Announcement
-   Title
-   Opening
-   Purpose of announcement
-   Content of announcement
-   Date/time/place
-   Contact person
-   Closing


    

 Characteristic of Announcement
     Use simple present tense or simple future tense often enticement.
  1. Simple Present Tense
Formula:
Subject (I, You, We, They) + infinitive
Examples:
 I speak English.
You sing a song.
We go to library.
They play football.
Subject (He, She, It) + infinitive + -s/-es
Examples:
☺   He passes the Physics exam well.
☺   She buys a kilo of sugar.
☺   It makes you to be someone different.
  1. Simple Future tense
Formula:
Subject + shall/will + be + ….
Examples:
John will buy a new house next week.
She will help another person that gets through a terrible situation.
The government will visit the disaster victims.
I shall go to Surabaya tomorrow.
We shall do the best in our life.
Notes: For simple future tense will is used for subject (He, She, It).
Meanwhile, shall is used for subject (I, We).

2.Message

     Text messaging, or texting, is the act of typing and sending a brief, electronic message between two or more mobile phones or fixed or portable devices over a phone network. While the original term was derived from referring to messages sent using the Short Message Service(SMS) originated from Radio Telegraphy, it has since been extended to include messages containing image, video, and sound content (known as MMS messages). The sender of a text message is known as a texter

3.Personal letter
A personal letter is a type of letter which provides communication between a small number of people, usually two. There are many types of personal letters and they are written for a wide variety of reasons:
  • One person wishes to attain information from an individual or a business
  • One person wishes to tell somebody about themselves, as in pen pals
  • One person wishes to present to an individual or a business a social note note, such as a thank-you or a congratulation.
  • One person wishes to communicate with an acquaintance - friend or family, for example in order to maintain and reinforce the bond between them.
There are 2 types of personal letter, formal personal letter and informal personal letter

Appoinment


Appointment is a plan with someone of some people to do something at the  future time.
Here are some expressions we can use to make and accept an appointment.

Invitation

Invitation is a way to invite someone or more to go to a place or to do something. There are two types of invitation. They are formal invitation and informal invitation.

a.     Formal Invitation
Formal invitation is usually originate from institutes, companies, and a kind of it. Normally formal invitation is written invitation.
